A Great Grey Shrike at Copt Hall

A Great Grey Shrike has been present at Copt Hall since the 29th December but did not show on my first visit on the 6th February, so time for another try. Still no sign after an hour but it was then spotted in the usual place next to the sea wall. It was a bit of a trade-off from a photography point of view as at the nearest point you were shooting into the sun or with the sun from the side, but if you walked along the sea wall to get the sun behind you the bird was further away. In my book the sun always wins so here are my results from along the sea wall.

At one point it dropped out of the bush and allowed a few flight shots.

Mustn't grumble!!!!
