It was forecast be be a sunny and relatively calm day so off to Wallasea Island once again. A walk along the track to the offices revealed a pair of Stonechats that were doing their best to elude the photographers walking out to the hide. However, perseverance paid off and I was able to get a couple of shots.
Also managed to grab a shot of some Shelducks flying over.
But the best bit of luck came by the river wall where Fieldfares were flying about but apparently landing out of sight on the far side of the wall. Then suddenly a flock of ten birds flew over the wall and landed in a bush about 30 yards away. How good is that?
So now time to get into position for the owls. Sadly they weren't flying in their usually preferred site, but I did manage to get these from another position.
And finally I award full marks to the RSPB for their marketing here, but all I want to know is how they stop it flying away!!!!!!
I suspect I will be back for another attempt at the owls.
