A Tree Creeper at Amwell

28th April 2013

I was with a crowd of people on the towpath by the James Hide, trying to get some more photos of the Wood Warbler. The Wood Warbler was singing and showing well, albeit high in the canopy and impossible to photograph due to the distance and the tangle of twigs. I therefore diverted my attention to a Tree Creeper which was exploring the bark of a nearby Silver Birch.

This little fella was just 5 yards away from about 15 people, but was so engrossed in what he was doing was totally oblivious to their presence. An opportunity far too good to miss.
