There were three Ringed Plovers present on yesterday's visit to Amwell but all slightly too distant for photos, so went down to try my luck a second time. Today the Whitethroat wasn't singing from his lichen-covered Elder bush, but had moved across the river and was having a preen in an Ash tree.
Out on the scrape an Oystercatcher was enjoying the low water levels and calling for its mate, followed by a wing-stretch.
Luckily the Ringed Plovers were a little bit closer today allowing a sequence of shots to be taken. That's better!!
