A Couple of Hours with the Sand Martins

There is nothing quite like the buzz, or even the "buzz, buzz, buzz" of a Sand Martin colony as they swirl around the cliff face making their exquisite sound. By now the nest chambers will contain chicks which will be fed by both adults, which sometimes sit just outside the entrance.............

.......................and sometimes just inside looking out.

This one was even too lazy to stifle a yawn.

Still early days and only one nest had chicks old enough to scramble to the entrance and get their first glimpse of the whole new world outside.

Very therapeutic!!
