A Red-backed Shrike had been found at Houghton Regis on the 21st September and was showing well at times so time for a visit. When we arrived it was perched at the top of a bush just 15 yards from the path so quickly took some shots. What a confiding bird.
After five minutes it flew to the far hedge and stayed there until we left two hours later. If we had arrived five minutes later we would have missed it!!!
