Short-eared Owls at Rainham Marshes

The Short-eared Owls have been showing well at Rainham Marshes so time to spend an afternoon there. They have been roosting on the foreshore during the day and generally flying after 3pm, but today it didn't go quite to plan for them. High tide was at 2.10pm but was also an exceptionally high tide, and a good hour before high tide the foreshore was underwater and the owls had to move to higher ground. It did, however, provide some opportunites for some shots in good light.
