The cunning plan today was to go to Mistley on an incoming tide and then spend the afternoon at either Walton-on-the-Naze or Holland Haven. So when Mike O'Hanlon messaged to say the Snow Bunting was still present at The Haven there was no contest. It was reported to be very tame which can make them more difficult to find, but luckily there was someone already photographing it on the concrete sea-ward side of the sea wall, probably the last place we would have looked.
And yes it was tame, by far the tamest I've ever seen, with people walking by within just 2 yards without scaring it. This certainly made photography a little easier, just a matter of finding a place to sit about 10 feet away and waiting for it to emerge from behind some annoying grass stems and stop for a pose.
Once again thanks to Mike O'Hanlon for the info.
