Spotted Flycatchers at Fowlmere

There have been two families of Spotted Flycatchers at Fowlmere recently, one by the picnic area by the entrance and one by the Spring Hide. I searched both sites on my vist on the 29th July without success and then another attempt today. Still no luck at the picnic site, but I was successful by the Spring Hide.

The birds were perching high in the trees aginst the sky on a dull day so the light conditions were challenging, however I did manage to get some shots. Here is a selection.

This is one of the adults which was constantly calling to keep in touch with the youngsters.

Well success at last and I would like to connect with them again on a sunny day.
