A quick visit to Bramfield Church to see if there are any winter Hawfinches yet. They don't normally arrive until the New Year, but ones and twos are sometimes recorded in November/December. No Hawfinches today but there were good numbers of Redwings feeding on the bountiful Yew berry crop. Here is a selection.
The next sequence shows on of the birds downing one of the Yew berries.
And to round off the day the Yew trees were visiting by a stunning Mistle Thush. How good is that?
