A Hoopoe had been found in the horse paddocks next to Hinxworth Church and had been delighting the crowds for a few days. Unfortunately it spent most of its time on the far side of the paddocks, but on occasions it came a little closer.
But the problem now was how to get it to raise its crest? Well, that was best left to the horses. It was quite happy feeding quite close to their hooves, but when they came a bit too close it raised the alarm......and its crest. How good is that?
