Grey Wagtails at Amwell

7th June 2022

A couple of hours to spare on a sunny day so a quick trip to see what was around at Amwell. Fairly quiet at the viewpoint apart from a fairly vocal Whitethroat that was singing from the tops of the willows.................

......................and then off to find another song perch.

This year a pair of Grey Wagtails have nested under the bridge over the Lee Navigation and are currently feeding young in the nest so are appearing very frequently with beakfuls of food.

This food item is the remains of a female Banded Demoiselle.

And time for a rest before the next meal!!
