After a fantastic morning at Santon Downham with the Wood Larks. Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers and a fly-over Goshawk there was still enough light left for another visit to Burwell Fen on the way home. We arrived later than usual and therefore didn't have so long to wait for the Short-eared Owls to fly, and of course there was the supporting cast of Konik Ponies and Roe Deer to while away the time.
But then on cue the Shorties started hunting with three in view tonight.
I don't think I will ever tire of photographing these charasmatic birds.
